Demolishing Failed Buildings What you need to know.

PUR will provide grants to property owners for demolishing failed buildings within the Urban Renewal District.

Grants are reviewed by the PDC Advisory Committee on a quarterly basis. Applications are due with a Fresh Start grant application by the first day of these months: January, April, July, October.

Demolition Grant Requirements:

  • New construction must begin within 18 months of the demolition.
  • You must submit designs for the replacement building when you apply for this grant.
  • The value of the new building(s) must equal at least three times the assessed value of the demolished structure.
